James Burl Henley, 59, of Columbia, passed away at University of Missouri Hospital Sunday, February 10, 2013. He was born Aug. 21, 1953, to James and Sally Henley, who survive him. He is survived by his wife, Rosalee and his three children from his first marriage, Nicole, Brett and Megan; his stepchildren, Melody (Woods) Short and Jason Woods; his brothers, Jeffrey Henley and family, and Marshall Henley and family. He is also survived by six granddaughters, Ashlyn Henley, Chelsea, Emily and Natalee Short, and Bailey and Kaylee Woods. Jim graduated from Kansas State University in civil engineering and has worked for the University of Missouri as a Construction Manager for 16 years. Jim was a life-long fan of the K- State Wildcats and the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Mizzou Arena in the Clinton Club in Columbia.
